With 2400 kilometers of diameter Pluto is the smallest known planet. It was discovered on the 21st of January 1933 at 10.00 p.m. in Flagstaff, Arizona. Pluto requires 247 years and 7 months to circle the Sun. It remains in each sign 20 years. It is orbited by a moon, Charon, which according to Greek mythology, brought the souls of the dead across the river to Hades the antique underworld.
